Samsung Electronics is one of the world's leading manufacturers of consumer electronics and home appliances. Its products are distributed all over the world and include TVs, smartphones, wearable devices, tablets, home appliances, network and memory systems, LSI systems and LED solutions. "PlanetFirst" is Samsung's campaign that includes the plan and actions taken by Samsung Electronics to protect Earth and its environment by working on the front line for a sustainable future.

Brief

For the launch of its new QuickDrive™ washing machine, Samsung wanted to increase the green perception of its brand and to promote its drive-to-store campaign. In addition, the company wanted to deliver a concrete action to benefit the environment.

Concept

To increase the perception of Samsung's green positioning and gain visibility with its business partners, Treedom developed a creative concept that emphasized the environmental sustainability characteristics of the Samsung QuickDrive washing machine™, and celebrated the birth of a new forest of 1000 trees in Kenya. The initiative was launched across digital media and promoted by Samsung and its business partners, including on the websites of retailers Euronics, Unieuro and Expert. In addition, buyers of a Samsung QuickDrive™ washing machine were given the chance to participate in a contest to win one of the 1000 trees in the forest. Treedom planted the trees and created the creative assets, including graphics and copy writing for this Samsung initiative.
